B.C.-based cannabis producer, Tantalus Labs, announced today that it has received its licence to sell medical cannabis, issued by Health Canada under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). The acquisition of this licence marks a significant milestone for the company. Tantalus Labs will begin shipping cannabis products from their high-efficiency facility, called SunLab, in the coming weeks.

Awarded with the "Most Anticipated Licensed Producer" title by the Canadian Cannabis Awards, Tantalus Labs will enter cannabis sales with five highly anticipated cannabis products. Their five strains, dubbed the "Tantalus Range", span three product categories which allude to their cannabinoid contents and consequent effects, ranging from high THC to high CBD. Sales registration has begun for early supporters of the company, and will open to all residents of Canada on a first come, first serve basis.

SunLab's purpose-built, specialized greenhouses utilize sunlight for the plant's primary photosynthetic input, rather than solely relying on artificial lighting. This reduces electricity demand by up to 90 per cent, compared to historical illicit-market practices.
