Arizona medical marijuana cardholders are at risk of DUI for having any amount of marijuana in their system.

The Arizona Supreme Court ruled that Arizona medical marijuana cardholders have no immunity from prosecution under a state DUI law which prohibits motorists from having any amount of marijuana or its chemical compound that causes impairment in their bodies.

Q: In broad terms, what are the policy goals that should be pursued when setting up the rules for a legal marijuana market?

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Thursday ordered the remand of a 64-year-old man, Andrew Nwaochichi, at the Ikoyi Prisons for dealing in cannabis sativa, popularly called Indian hemp. Nwaochichi was arraigned on a charge of drug trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

He pleaded guilty to the charge. Following his plea, the prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, prayed the court to issue a remand order against the accused. “In view of the plea of the accused, I pray my lord for an order of remand against the accused,” he said.

A Riverside neighborhood is upset as a major marijuana home-grown operation with nearly 600 plants sits right near their backyards. The only problem is that the operation is completely legal.

ABC7 talked to several neighbors who expressed their frustrations and concerns with the operation that grows marijuana inside the home and in the backyard.

Laura and Chris live nearby the home and asked ABC7 not to use their last names because of concerns for their safety.

"I was shocked, and I was scared," Laura said. "There were lights glowing inside the tents."

"There are times we cannot use our backyard because of the smell," Chris said.

SAN DIEGO – An organization is hoping to convince President Barack Obama to change the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ stance on medical marijuana for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.

“As a suicide survivor myself, it’s a subject that touches me,” said Sean Tiernan of Weed for Warriors Project.

Like tens of thousands before him, when Teirnan came back from combat, he was diagnosed with PTSD and found himself unable to cope.

“Basically, they want to medicate you and that’s causing a lot of issues,” said Tiernan.

Before discovering cannabis as a treatment for PTSD, he was prescribed a series of drug cocktails that he says did more harm than good. He says that’s when he knew he had to take action.

TORONTO — Medical marijuana users in Ontario are now legally able to use vaporizers just about anywhere in the province.

The Liberal government quietly exempted them this week from a law that bans the use of e-cigarettes anywhere regular cigarettes are prohibited. It means medical marijuana users can vaporize in restaurants, at work or on playgrounds.

Associate Health Minister Dipika Damerla said under the exemption for medical marijuana users, employers or restaurant owners could still ban them from smoking on the premises.

"If it's bothering somebody, find another place to go and smoke," she said Wednesday.

Monday, the Northeast Iceland Police confiscated 58 cannabis plants during a house search on a farm in Svarfaðardalur, near Dalvík, RÚV reports. The suspected cultivators of the plants received an ISK 1 million (USD 7,500, EUR 7,000) award for innovation in organic farming last year.

In addition to the 58 cannabis plants, 100 grams of cannabis and equipment for cultivation were confiscated.

A second house search related to the case was carried out in Akureyri, revealing dozens of liters of a chlorine mixture, which had been offered for sale as medication on the internet. The director of health warned against the use of such a mixture in 2010.
